Acumatica Summit 2022 Recap
Get the Highlights from Acumatica Summit 2022
Acumatica Summit 2022 saw the announcement of exciting new initiatives and continued focus on enhanced user experience. Acumatica maintained the MeetGreen sustainability commitment for the event (held at the Wynn Las Vegas). These efforts included purchasing carbon offsets, eliminating single use bottles and a number of sustainable practices.
Keynote addresses kicked off each day at Summit and highlighted Acumatica’s continued commitment to technology innovation and challenging the status quo. Acumatica’s first release of 2022 will incorporate innovations driven by user input. These improvements include an enhanced mobile experience, expanded use of machine learning, anomaly detection, globalization features such as expanded language packs and localization tools and an impressive list of industry edition enhancements.
Acumatica’s mobile experience will roll out to existing users in the coming days with a new look and feel. Enhanced functionality will be available on new versions (starting with 2022r1) and include recently visited areas from other devices and kpi metrics accessible from specific workspaces. Mobile and all platforms will include Anomaly Detection (initially available at the G/L level) that is designed to sort through large volumes of transactions and predict areas that may require more investigation. A simple example of an anomaly could be abnormally large transactions.
Acumatica has expanded the value of each industry edition. Manufacturing Edition will include out of the box dashboards to reduce time spent in configuring and designing dashboards for key personnel. Out of the box dashboards will include a production meeting dashboard, production manager dashboard and engineering dashboard. Distribution Edition has added the capability to create and manage blanket sales orders. Each blanket sales order will allow individual lines to specify a scheduled order date and ship to location. Child orders will automatically generate from the blanket sales order and allow for multiple open shipments per blanket order. Retail Commerce Edition will support integration with Amazon (both FBA and FBM order types) in addition to the existing integrations with Shopify and BigCommerce. Orders processed through Amazon will synch with Acumatica to create sales orders.
A number of technology initiatives were highlighted targeting speed and performance of Acumatica. Screen loading improvements, enhanced filtering options and expanded file management capabilities will all be realized in the first release of 2022.
As the Acumatica team looks beyond the current quarter and year, efforts to incorporate robotic process automation to automate repetitive tasks through integration with technology leaders such as UI Path Connector will be center stage.
Detailed release notes for Acumatica’s 2022 R1 release will be available in February. Acumatica customers and partners are encouraged to leverage Acumatica Community to share experiences and learn from each other.
